TOEIC

Hello Class,

This is a reminder of the dates you can take the TOEIC to receive extra credit to improve your grade in the class. Another benefit of taking the TOEIC is that for each student who improves her TOEIC score, I can give another A beyond the 80% limit. You still have to earn the A though.

The university encourages students to take the TOEIC.

I am encouraging you to take the TOEIC because research shows that reading a lot in English can improve your TOEIC score. I want to see if it is true for our class. I think the results could be interesting even though this is not a controlled study.

Here is the information about when you can take the TOEIC:

How: Sign up in person or online: (http://exam.ybmsisa.com/toeic/toeic01_1.asp).
Cost: 42,000 won

Bonus points:
+4 points for getting a better score but less than 50 points more than the previous score
+5 points for getting more than 50 points higher than the previous score
+6 points for getting more than 100 points higher than the previous score


SUNGSHIN SIMULATED TOEIC – Spring 2012

How: Sign up in person in315 at the reception desk 30 students maximum per time slot
Cost: 4,000 won

Times (Fri): 9:30-11:30 / 12:00-14:00 / 15:00-17:00 / 18:00 – 20:00
